Stay alone, and only keep the ones you already have close.

Laura's eyes softened a little, before something seemed to take over her and she just hugged him. Her eyes closing as she wanted him to know she was there for him.

Dick moved an arm around Laura, returning the hug. He knew it probably was about all she was emotionally capable of and he was more than happy with it.

Laura laid there in silent, just hugging him as she didn't know what else as a friend, "Let's just hope.." She whispered, before she just stared at his chest in silence.

Dick gave a small laugh before his hand brushed her hair, "You have really soft hair, y'know that?" He couldn't stop running his fingers through it. It felt softer than silk and he was intrigued.

Laura froze a little when she felt his hand brushing through his hair. She then blushed only lightly at his compliment. And she was a little glad he couldn't see it. Since she was laying on his chest.

"Thanks.." She whispered, before she felt him brushing through her hair soothing. Which made her eyes start drooping.

"Mhm." Dick hummed out, just running his fingers through her hair until his fingers started to feel numb and fuzzy.

Laura had fell asleep during him petting her head. And as she was asleep, she cuddled more into him. As if asking for his body warmth.

Dick felt Laura's breathing slowly even out before her body naturally cuddled into him seeking out desperate warmth. He just gave a sad smile, girls did this to him and then he was Friend-zoned. Well, sometimes friends-with-benefits zoned but friend zoned none the less. He just gave a subtle sigh as he continued to run his fingers through her hair as he shut his eyes to think. He wasn't exactly sure when he fell asleep but it was sooner than he thought.
