A Familiar Place And A Familair Face

After leaving the Bat Cave, Bruce found his way through the familiar entrance back into Wayne Manor. Blue eyes looked about, everything looked the same as his home back in his universe. He could very easily think himself at home. That is if not for the collar's pressure. he thought as he moved silently throughout the manor, his step long ago perfected in not making a sound.

His body moved on it's own, making his way through familiar corridors of a place so much like that in which he grew up in. No matter where he went, deja vu hit him. For though it was not his Wayne Manor, images of a lifetime flashed through his mind. The Dark Knight found himself stopping in front of one door in particular that held many memories indeed. of both childhood, and way into his adult hood. The study.

With a deep breath, he walked inside and looked around the room. It was just like his own. Bruce, walked around, his gloved hand brushing against various objects and books as he made his way to the desk. A lot of Wayne Enterprise work occurred in this room. Plenty of Batman work as well. But what lingered in his mind now, was the image of his father sitting at that desk. Hard at work, but a smile on his face.

A few picture frames sat upon the desk, and Bruce took the time to look at each one. There were of the other Bruce, and all that made up his family. The one as a child with his parents. Others with him and the various children that made up the Bat Family. All of which, were long gone. It was strange to think about.

Selina kept her arms folded as she walked around the building. It felt oddly cold. Her bright green eyes kept darting around the area, her body tensing at every shadow as it moved through her peripherals. Her heart quickened its beating at the thought of Bruce random being around a corner to grab her to begin their never ending game of cat and mouse. She shut her eyes as she walked blindly through the halls. She had absolutely no idea of where she was going but somehow she just knew where to go and where not to go.

The feline fanatic stopped random at a door, it was cracked open with was not all the common for the home of the Bat. All doors were always shut. This caught her interest. She moved her hand to the door, slowly opening without a sound. A skill she had perfected from many years of stealth and, trying to get around Richard's ass when (at one point) Bruce and her had decided for some M-rated fun.

Which was almost funny, never once did Bruce stop being on her brain. It was starting to get frustratingly annoying. Could she not go three seconds without tall, dark, and brooding just latching onto her brain waves? Apparently not. It seemed as if her brain was starting to give her images of Batman in the room looking over the desk. She leaned on the door way, black tank top and dark colored skinny jeans that hugged her curves. She wanted to roll her eyes but instead found her eyes looking up and down the brooding piece of man. She noticed the collar. The hesitant fingers to look at the pictures. It had to be her Bruce, this world's Bruce was...

Dead.

"Nice of you to join the taken." Selina said in more of a bored tone, almost disappointed that he was here. Who was protecting Gotham now? Bird boy was here and Boy Blunder as well.

"Nice of you to join the taken."

Bruce felt himself stiffen upon hearing a voice disturb the almost peace the quiet had brought in the room. He recognized that voice. had heard it so many times from the moments of cat and mouse that it was impossible for him not to know. With a small breath, he turned around to gaze at Selina. It was almost strange to see her not in a catsuit.

The Dark Knight merely lifted an eyebrow at her before crossing his arms. "I'm surprised to see a wild cat collared." he said, his voice it's usual deep gruff sound as he gave her a bit of a smirk. Of course, Alfred already warned him of her arrival, but it was still strange to see her there at all. How on earth did she get captured? And why placed with the heroes?

"Don't get all Knightly with me, Bruce. I'm just as surprised to see you here. And... this kitty doesn't enjoy her collar. But I rather this than the alternative." Selina pushed herself off the wall, walking to the Dark Knight of Gotham City. Dhe moved her hand to meet his chin, before sliding her thumb under the mask, asking for permission to take it off.

"Secrets out, Bruce. You don't have to walk cowled in your own home." Selina moved her eyes to meet the white out guard that blocked her view of those gorgeous blue eyes that she could lose herself in. She wanted the cowl gone, now.

"Hard habit to brake." he told her softly, the ghost of a smile on his lips. Though there really wasn't much to smile about. He supposed he couldn't really blame her for being surprised. He was shocked himself that he could get captured like he did and sent to another universe. Blue eyes watched her approach him, his guard halfway between up and down. "I'm not very big on either option." he commented lightly, feeling her hand rest upon his chin.

His body stiffened lightly when her thumb went under his mask, before forcing himself to relax. She was right, there was no need to where it. It may have been a different Wayne Manner, but it was going to be hi home now for however long he was stuck in this universe. I can only hope it's not until my last breath.

Silently, Bruce reached out and placed a hand on top of the one on his face. Slowly he moved the two upwards, causing more of the mask to be removed until at last the cowl was off and had fallen to the ground.

Selina pressed her body against Bruce's Kevlar and armor covered chest. Slowing raising her body and he pulled her hand to remove the cowl.

"This isn't healthy." Selina whispered, bringing her face to hover over Bruce's on before planting a kiss on the rougher lips. She moved her other hand around the Dark Knight's neck.

This is down right illegal.

Bruce never had his eyes leave Selina's as the action was done, the blue sparkling they way they did whenever the two were together. The mix of passion, lust, and something else. Something he could not bring himself to name. Because to acknowledge it would be his doom when dancing the Tango Selina.

"This isn't healthy."

As a soft pair of silky lips pressed against his rough and chapped ones, Bruce found himself agreeing. Nothing about this was healthy. But as he kissed back, bringing his free arm around the slim but curvy waist as his other hand remained entangled with her hand, he found himself not caring.

Yes, Selina Kyles was a drug. A deadly drug that intoxicated the brain and messed with his sense of judgement. But he was an addicted that had no intention to go to rehab. I wonder if you even know the control you have on me. he thought as he felt his eyes close as he licked against her lips in permission to deepen it.

God, if you knew how much control you had... She thought to herself, parting her mouth open for their tongues to do their ritualistic dance. Her brain whirled around the hundred and seven thoughts that fluttered through her mind. She didn't think she'd ever truly detest their little game of angry cat and mouse leading to un-Godly great sex, but she could be more than comfortable with these chaste kisses and just knowing he was there. Not desperately trying to pretend every shadow movement that caressed the walls of the Manor might turn into her shadowed lover.

The kiss deepened between the two, and Bruce found himself forgetting the world for a moment. This sense of somewhat peace between them felt refreshing. To not beat around the bush or dance around each other as one plays the robber and the other the crime fighter. Just this simple moment to let them fall pray to the emotions and be like this. Bruce never had a better feeling of normalcy.

Soon enough, the Dark Knight broke the kiss, knowing air was needed. Opening his eyes, he gazed down at his feline lover, many emotions flickering through them. He released his hand from her's before reach out to brush a lock of hair from her face. I wish you hadn't taken to this place. he thought, a small frown set upon his lips. To be forced to into this life. This universe was more dangerous. With those arena matches that could very well end in death. As much as he enjoyed having her in his arms, he preferred the idea of her being back in their Gothem, robbing jewelry stores and fighting for animal rights.

The silent man brought his lips back onto hers, more passion in this kiss than the last. Now that she was here, it was nothing more than the ticking clock of how long they could be like this.

Selina found her mind numbing over all, just melting into their dance of back-stage rumors. That's all they were after all, just rumors.

When her Dark Knight momentarily ended the kiss, she opened her eyes and stared into those unbelievably gray, blue eyes. She could see little pieces of emotions flutter through them, nothing she could grasp fully but she was trying. She was learning, she could read his body wordlessly but his eyes were knew to her. Some might even believe she could read him better than the original Boy Wonder.

Selina was tempted to retake his hand but was a bit enthralled with the fact he was brushing some of her bangs from her face. She leaned her head into the hand, the rough skin was a nice texture she had grown to lo-- adore in her meetings the brooding vigilante. Her eyes never once left his, never once.

Until he instigated the kiss this time, she shut her eyes moving her now free hand to wrap around his neck as she lifted herself a bit to not have to make her shadow lover bend to far down to keep her lips greedily to himself.

But then again, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes this kiss was much more passionate. As his feline loving temptress lifted herself up a bit higher, Bruce tightened his hold around her waist. He leaned back a bit against the desk, his hand on her face brushing against her cheek. Why do we always have to meet during the worst of times? he thought as he added pressure to their kiss.

A small thud caught his attention and he broke the kiss once more to see one of the pictures frames having been knocked over, causing it to be facing down. it was then that it occurred to him. They shouldn't be doing this. Not here. The study was a special place, to both himself and the other Bruce. It was not the location for a moment of tenderness with a woman who was in and out of his life.

Without a word, he reached out and righted the photo. The one of the other Bruce as a child and his family. His eyes flicked to the other photos before gazing back at Selina. This was not the time. We may not have much time left together. But the same goes for my family. he thought, thinking of Dick and Tim. Even Jason. He needed to see them. He needed to talk to Dick and Tim, discuss what needs to be down when it came to the arenas. And Jason... Jason and he had a lot to talk about.

Selina severely enjoyed the attention she was honestly not to used to getting without a chase. His lips against hers as they moved their mouths together. It set fire to her blood. Or would've if the thud hadn't spooked her first.

Bruce broke away and suddenly she saw the change in body language, did he regret their kiss? No, it was something else. Something different entirely. Concern and thoughtfulness? He placed the picture with distracted movements. But she saw her opportunity and she wasn't passing it by.

The feline themed thief took his free hand and held it. She pulled his attention away from the photographes that held some meaning to a now dead version of the man she had kissed; and really wished she was still kissing.

"What's bothering you?" She asked, the distraction was really putting a damper on the moment they were sharing.

A soft hand grabbed his gloved on, forcing his hand away from the photos as his attention was taken from his thoughts and back to the woman that always managed to stir him up. Upon her question, he paused. "...' What was he to say to her? There was so much in his mind, but his pride and stubbornness did not wish to make himself too vulnerable than he already was with her.

"I need to speak with my sons." he said, turning his hand around to hold hers. He unwrapped his arm from her waist and brought it to hold her other hand. It really was important to find his boys and speak with them about the arenas. Though as he held onto Selina's hands, he felt reluctant to let go and leave.

Selina understood the need. Hell, she was surprised he hast already seen them. She knew how important they were to him but she was getting overly distracted by the rough hands moving over her own. A warm smile played on her lips before she rolled herself to the balls of her feet to cheek his cheek.

"Go find them, I can wait." she whispered into his ear as she was still up. She rolled back down to her normal height. Looking up at him, almost wondering what he'd do now.

Upon seeing the warm smile that grazed him, Bruce's heart, though he would never admit it, fluttered. It wasn't often he'd get to see such a smile. He was more used to flirtatious and playful smirks, maybe a coy smile here and there. He wasn't used to seeing such warmth as she smiled up at him.

As Selina brought herself up to kiss his cheek, the Dark Knight tightened his hold on her hands. He felt even more reluctant to leave and disrupt this gentle peace between them. Though his rational self urged the need to seek his wards, to get them ready for the eternal war and real life battle they were going to have to face. The silent vigilante felt himself anchored, torn between the two places he wanted to be.

"Go find them, I can wait."

Those soft words whispered in his ear, unleashing the man from his imaginary chains. He released her hands from his just as she moved back down to her height. The raven-haired billionaire bent down close to her face, his breath ghosting over her as he gazed into her eyes. I'll be back. was the silent promise not spoken before he quickly and silently moved around her and out the door. The batman cowl left forgotten on the floor.
