Bio:
Son of John and Mary Grayson, circus acrobats, Dick Grayson was born into his parents' famous circus act, " The Flying Graysons". The family were well known for performing without a safety net, and it was inevitable that one day it would be their downfall. While preparing for a performance Dick overhears two gangsters attempting to extort protection money from the Circus owner. The owner refuses, so the gangsters sabotage the trapeze wires with acid. During the performance where the trapeze from which Dick's parents are swinging snaps, sending them to their deaths. Before he can go to the police, Batman appears to him and warns him that the two gangsters work for Tony Zucco, a very powerful crime boss, and that revealing his knowledge could lead to his death. The two work together to bring down Zucco, and he was left an orphan. He was soon taken in, however, by Gotham's resident billionaire, Bruce Wayne. Then one night, while Dick was investigating his parents' death, the costumed vigilante known as Batman was doing the same. The two ran into each other and Batman, seeing a little of himself in the young boy, revealed that he was the very same man who had taken him in, Bruce Wayne.

Batman then decided that he would train his young ward to become his sidekick, teaching him how to fight and the skills of a detective. Dick Grayson learned quickly and joined Batman on the streets of Gotham as Robin, the Boy Wonder. And soon, the Boy Wonder became a Teen Wonder, when the first Robin became a founding member and leader of the Teen Titans, a team of sidekicks like himself. The team consisted of Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Speedy and Wonder Girl.

Powers:
Although Robin, like Batman, doesn't have any real superpowers, he has peak athletic strength and endurance of a man who regularly engages in intensive physical exercise. Dick is an expert crime fighter with a range of impressive skill taught to him by Batman amongst other experts. Dick is a master martial artist mastering dozens of fighting styles, including Eskrima, Aikido, Savate, Muay Thai, Boxing, Capoeira,Kendo, Tae Kwon Do, Jeet Kune Do, Bojutsu, Hapkido, Ninjitsu, Tai Chi, Jujitsu, Judo, Kenpo, Wing Chun, Krav Maga, and Kobubudo. Dick was trained for years by Batman and then had further training from Richard Dragon. Dick is considered one of the best hand to hand fighters on earth. He has made his own style of fighting to play to his strengths. Dick is also a master at stick fighting, often using escrima sticks. He uses these as offensive and defensive weapons; he also uses them for long range attacks by throwing them at his opponents.

Dick is at peak human levels in strength and stamina but his most valuable asset is his incredible speed and agility, being extremely quick and versatile. Dick is a skilled acrobat from his childhood in the circus and is considered the best human acrobat in the DCU, only rivaled by Deadman. His acrobatic skills combined with his agility makes him very hard to hit in a fight, and he combines these skills with his fighting skills to perform moves that no other human on earth could perform.

Dick is highly intelligent and a master detective. He is part of a small group ( Batman, Tim Drake, Oracle, and Alfred) who can use the Bat-computer to full effect. Dick has also had training in escapology, criminology, stealth, and disguise by Batman and others. He can also speak many different languages fluently, such as Spanish, French, Russian and Japanese. Dick is also extremely proficient in disarming explosives.

He is a brilliant tactician and a strong leader. He has lead teams like the Teen Titans, the Justice League of America, and the Outsiders. Unlike Batman, he has exceptionally good people skills and may be one of the DC Universe's most effective leaders.

Weaknesses:
Dick's small frame and lack of power was a weakness. Despite his intense training, he has usually had to resort to dodging attacks from foes, rather than taking them head-on like other sturdier accoplices might.

While still operating as Robin, he displayed a lack of conventional team work, where during certain situations, he would disappear abruptly either to scout ahead or perform some other sort of task, without notifying anyone else. This is not due to any ego or inconsideration however, but instead because of the fact that while working with his mentor, their partnership had grown to the level where they can anticipate each other's moves without having to vocalize them. While this worked well for him and his mentor, this did not work with the rest of the Team.

His immaturity and childlike confidence in his own abilities had proved to be a weakness in the past, as he had impulsively attempted to combat opponents who were either superior in terms of fighting skills to his own or villains who were considerably dangerous.
